Saskatoon, SK — The SaskMétis Economic Development Corporation (SMEDCO) is proud to announce that, effective January 1, 2025, it has entered into a long-term management agreement with the Clarence Campeau Development Fund (CCDF).

SMEDCO, wholly owned by the Métis Nation–Saskatchewan, has a long-standing commitment to advancing Métis entrepreneurship across the province. Through this new partnership, SMEDCO and CCDF will streamline services, enhance the application process, and expand access to financing and business supports for Métis-owned businesses.
Under the agreement, CCDF will manage SMEDCO’s day-to-day operations, including administration, marketing, personnel, governance, and other services needed to support SMEDCO’s continued growth. While closely aligned, SMEDCO and CCDF will remain independent organizations, working in collaboration to better serve Métis entrepreneurs.

“Supporting Métis entrepreneurs is at the heart of what we do,” said Pam Larson, CEO. “By aligning SMEDCO and CCDF, we are strengthening the resources available to Métis businesses and ensuring long-term, sustainable economic growth in our communities.”

Together, SMEDCO and CCDF remain committed to empowering Métis entrepreneurs and creating new opportunities for economic development across Saskatchewan.
